Coastructural Engineering Ltd. provides structural engineering services for both new construction and renovations on the British Columbia Sunshine Coast.
It is a partnership between Dean Dugas P.Eng and Lyle Seeton A.Sc.T. created shortly after they met in November 2011.
Based in Roberts Creek, Lyle had been running Seeton Structural Design since 2007 and Dean was moving from Montreal looking for an opportunity to practice structural engineering on the Coast.
It was immediately obvious that a team approach was the solution, the Coastructural name was created and a partnership formed.
Dean and Lyle share a similar background; they both spent many years as carpenters working in the construction trade before deciding to put down their tools and return to school to study structural engineering.
They also both prefer to live and work on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
Coastructural strives to find design solutions that allow the owner and/or builder to complete their plans in the most economical and efficient manner, preserving the esthetics of the design while creating a structurally sound building.
Lyle and Dean draw on their backgrounds in both the construction trade (carpentry) and structural engineering to seek practical solutions that work for all concerned.
